Trip planning

Tell Audiala where you are going, for how long and what you care about, and it builds a day-by-day plan you can edit. Plans follow you from the laptop where you prepare to the phone you carry on the trip.

AI travel chat

Ask follow-up questions while you plan or while you stand in front of the building: when it was built, what's open nearby, where to eat after. The answers come from Audiala's sourced travel library, not just from a general-purpose model.

On the ground: nearby stories and offline audio

The mobile app shows the stories around you. On iPhone, during a walk you start in the app, a nearby place's story starts as you approach it; outside walks, and on Android, auto-play is a setting you turn on. Download a city in advance and its audio guides keep working without a signal.

Audiala inside AI assistants

Audiala publishes a free Model Context Protocol server and an llms.txt, so ChatGPT, Claude and other agents can pull Audiala guides into their answers.

Tripadvisor ranks places by crowd reviews, which tells you what's popular but not why a place matters. Audiala guides are built from Wikidata, Wikipedia and official tourism sources. Each guide lists its sources and passes fact-check gates before publication.

Tour marketplaces like GetYourGuide sell individual tours and tickets. Audio-tour apps like VoiceMap and GPSmyCity sell fixed walking routes. Audiala covers the whole trip in one place: the plan, the stories on the ground, and a chat for everything in between.

The team behind Audiala

Audiala was founded in 2023 by Guillaume Pernelle, a repeat founder. He was previously co-founder and CTO of Magic Carpet AI, a London deep-tech company building reinforcement-learning investment strategies, which Blockchain.com acquired in 2021. He started Audiala after seeing how much of an expensive trip gets lost to scattered information, and how little of a place's history travelers bring home. Read the full story.

How Audiala works

1. Start free. Open app.audiala.com or install the iOS or Android app. No payment card is needed to start.
2. Plan. Pick a city, set your dates and interests, and edit the plan Audiala suggests.
3. Go. Download the city's audio guides to listen offline, then walk and listen to the stories.
4. Ask. Use the chat whenever you have a question, before or during the trip.
5. Get help. Write to [email protected] or use in-app feedback. Reports of errors in a guide go to our editors, as described in our editorial process.

Are Audiala guides written by AI?

They are AI-assisted. Each guide starts from structured research (Wikidata, Wikipedia, official tourism sources), is drafted by language models under strict editorial rules, and passes automated fact-check gates before publication. Our editorial process explains how doubtful claims reach a human editor.

Does Audiala work offline?

Yes. Download a city before you leave and its audio guides work without a signal. This matters most in old town centres, underground sites and abroad without a data plan. Maps, chat and planning need a connection.

How is Audiala different from ChatGPT?

A general assistant gives plausible answers but doesn't know what's around you or guide you as you walk. Audiala answers from a sourced travel library, uses your location when you share it, and keeps your plan and stories with you on your phone.
