Find answers to the most common questions about Audiala

Offline Travel

What works offline in Audiala?
Downloaded audio guides work without a connection. Download a city before you go and listen anywhere: underground, abroad or without roaming. On iPhone, the download also includes place details, photos and opening hours. Maps, chat, trip planning and new downloads need an internet connection.
How do I download a city for offline use?
Open the city in the app and tap the download button. Audiala saves the city's audio guides to your phone; on iPhone it also saves place details, photos and opening hours. You can manage and remove downloads in Settings.
Does the AI chat feature work offline?
No. Ask Anything needs an internet connection to answer. To listen without a connection, download a city's audio guides before you go.
How much storage space do I need?
Each audio guide takes about 2 MB. A small town needs a few dozen MB; a big city with hundreds of guides can need several hundred MB or more. You can manage downloads in Settings and remove cities you no longer need.

Audio Quality

What makes Audiala's audio guides different from other apps?
Each guide is a short, researched story about one place, built from cited sources and narrated by AI voices in your language. Listen at your own pace and ask Audiala about anything you hear.
Can I control playback speed?
On iPhone, you can play guides at 0.75x to 2x speed, and the app remembers your choice. Playback speed is not yet available on Android.
Are the guides available in multiple languages?
Audiala and its narration are available in 11 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Czech and Russian. Not every place is narrated in every language yet.
Can I use my own headphones or Bluetooth speakers?
Absolutely. Audiala works with any audio output — wired headphones, Bluetooth earbuds, car speakers, or your phone's built-in speaker.

Family

Is Audiala suitable for children?
Yes. The guides are short stories you can pause and resume at any time, which makes them easy to share with children.
Can multiple family members use one account?
Your plan works on every phone or tablet where you sign in with your Audiala account.
Do you offer kid-friendly itineraries?
Tell the trip planner how much time you have and what you like, including family-friendly places, and it plans a walkable route you can adjust.
Can we listen to guides together as a group?
Yes. You can play audio through your phone's speaker or connect to a Bluetooth speaker so the whole family can listen together.

Value & Pricing

Is Audiala free to use?
Audiala is free to download, and everything is unlocked on your first day. After that, some features need a plan: the 7-day Trip Pass, or a monthly or annual subscription.
What does Premium include?
Every plan unlocks every audio guide, offline downloads, the AI travel assistant and full multi-day trip plans. Choose the 7-day Trip Pass ($9.99, one payment), monthly ($14.99 a month) or annual ($59.99 a year). See prices for your country.
Can I buy access to a single city?
There is no single-city purchase. For one trip, the 7-day Trip Pass ($9.99) unlocks everything for a week with one payment and doesn't renew.
What's the best value plan?
If you travel several times a year, the annual plan ($59.99 a year) costs 67% less than paying monthly, and new subscribers get a 3-day free trial. For a single trip, the 7-day Trip Pass is usually enough.
