İzmir Clock Tower
The İzmir Clock Tower (İzmir Saat Kulesi) stands in Konak Square and is a symbol of the city. Erected in 1901 to mark Sultan Abdulhamid II’s 25th year on the throne, the 25-meter tower was designed by Raymond Charles Père in an elaborate Ottoman style and is surrounded by four symbolic fountains.

It cannot be entered, but the surrounding area offers photo opportunities, especially at sunrise, sunset, and nighttime.
