Late-day Go City activation that burns a whole calendar day

How it works

The All-Inclusive pass counts calendar days, not rolling 24-hour periods. If you first scan it late in the afternoon, that day is still counted in full. It is not illegal, but many travelers realize it only after buying and feel stung.

How to spot it

The pass description says 'days' without explaining calendar-day timing, or you are about to activate it after lunch thinking you still have 24 hours.

Safe alternative

Activate early in the morning or skip the pass and buy separate tickets if you cannot start early.

Hop-on-hop-off and boat kiosk upsells on the waterfront

How it works

Go City includes specific operators and sometimes still requires reservation or same-day redemption steps. Waterfront sellers may try to redirect you to a different red bus or boat brand that is not covered, then sell you a separate ticket anyway.

How to spot it

The seller cannot confirm the exact included operator or tells you all red buses are the same. They ask you to buy now and sort out pass reimbursement later.

Airport transfer bundles sold as if they were normal city transport

How it works

Some third-party sellers bundle airport transfer products with vague 'Stockholm transport' language. Travelers assume that means standard SL access everywhere, then find out the product is limited or separate from the city network they actually need.

How to spot it

The offer mixes airport language with city transport without naming SL clearly, or it does not explain which routes and zones are covered.

Safe alternative

Buy Stockholm transit from SL directly and treat airport transport as its own purchase unless the route is clearly covered by SL.
